About our church

Motueka Baptist is a community reflecting God's Kingdom priorities and dream of reconciling all things, including people to himself and others -  across cultural, social and generational barriers.

We have a charismatic style of worship and value biblical teaching. We empower and equip people to serve with their gifts and passion. Faith is love with sleeves rolled up, so we partner with God in His mission to transform people and communities through modelling wholistic expressions of the Kingdom of God that will inspire hope, locally and globally. We help people have a personal walk with Jesus. He makes all the difference in our lives.

We are:

— Very friendly, and welcoming and inclusive of new people.

— Inclusive of children and youth.

— Laid-back, relaxed and informal including when we gather in church.

— Real, down-to-earth Christians.

— A loving, generous and supportive family.

— Outwardly focused, apart of and serving our community.

— Committed to a te Tiriti o Waitangi journey with Te Haerenga ki Motueka

— A partner Eco Church through A Rocha NZ

Being a popular holiday destination, we regularly have people from all around the world and throughout New Zealand visit us, and we welcome the opportunity to worship and fellowship together.

Motueka Baptist Church was established in 1987 and is a member of the Baptist Union of NZ
